Vega was our second pup from Ann Allen. We had fallen in love with Ann's 2 red bitches, Layash & Tannakee, and desperately wanted a girl like them!
At 2 weeks old this smiley little red girl melted our hearts and so started our affection for red malamutes.
Vega is a happy go lucky person, very friendly and trainable. She excels at trick training and becomes a right show off when sausages and a clicker appear!! She has passed the Gold Good Citizens Award.
She has been shown with great success (despite her colour!!) but it's out on the trail that she is more at home. Vega is one of the hardest working dogs we have, she loves training and competing.

On the 14th July 2004, Vega gave birth to a litter of 13 puppies (3 boys, 8 girls) from Can Bel Ch Shepherdsway Phantom Scout. See more pictures on their page here
From this monster litter we kept 'Summer' who has such a close bond with her mother - they are inseperable!!
They have run in harness together for 3 seasons and together made AMCUK WMOYA No.2 & 3 respectively.
Vega is now running alongside another of her daughters 'Suka' for the 2008/9 season.
